Workshops and teaching

I have many years’ experience of running masterclasses and workshops, as well as other literary events. I am currently Director of the Brontë Writing Centre, a new space (online and in person) providing opportunities and support for writers of all abilities and interests.

Currently, I am Head of Creative Writing at the University of Huddersfield and Editor-in-Chief of Grist Books.

I have run masterclasses and workshops, as well as other literary events, for a number of providers, including the BBC, Leeds Writers’ Circle, Huddersfield Authors’ Circle, Script Yorkshire, Bradford Playhouse, the Huddersfield Literature Festival, and many others. Subjects include:
